We have PEAS!
Yea! OK, we only have one lil' pea pod, but it's a start. =0)
Can't wait for the real harvest. Any signs of life in your garden?

We had some sweet peas, but got too much rain and only got a couple of pods off them. We have all kinds of greens though, collards, mustard and swiss chard. We have a couple heads of lettuce that are almost ready. Everything else is up, just not producing yet. BUT, our fruit and bushes are loaded this year. We have peaches the size of half dollars, apples the size of a small marble, blueberries galore! Blackberries are blooming all over the place.

I have mud with water standing on top and no end in site to this never-ending rain and storms.
Enjoy your peas!

It was 18 degrees last night and it's snowing right now. I did plant peas, lettuce, spinach, cabbage and beets over the weekend. The only thing up right now is my rhubarb, but still too little to pick. I have tomatoes, cucumbers, melons and other seedlings in the greenhouse (I bring them in at night). I got 4 cherry tomatoes yesterday! They tasted so good.

I have onions poking up and a few tiny lettuce leaves. It been so wet my peas haven't even broken the surface, yet. No signs of carrots or spinach yet, either, even though the seeds are in. May be getting 2 days free of rain at the end of the week...maybe then things will pop.

My english peas are through blooming and I will probably get one more picking before they are finished. I have lettuce, onions, garlic(which will be ready to pull up in may, I think), I have small cucumbers that should be ready in a couple weeks, tomatoes that are about an inch to two inches in diameter, beets that should be ready in about a month, squash that are beginning to produce and have some almost ready to harvest, green beans beginning to bloom, and my Hopi Blue corn is about 3 inches high. I was late getting it planted. I will be planting okra when I pull up the english peas. Oh yeah, I have small potatoes not quite ready to harvest but not a large bed of them; just some from store bought that sprouted so we planted them. I made a big salad with my lettuce for lunch today and it is so good. I have trouble eating salads in restaurants because it is tough. I also have 3 kinds of speckled butterbeans beginning to bloom. If I could figure out how to post pictures I would but so far I can't figure it out.

We have been eating lettuce from our porch for weeks and have spinach growing too.
Onions are doing well, strawberries are all up and are starting to flower. Blueberries have berries forming, and same for cherry tree. Raspberry canes are doing great and in full leaf now. Broccoli and cabbage are growing strong. Peppers are doing well, tomatoes are still small. Squash and beans have only just been planted so nothing there. Carrots are all coming up and so are the taters. Cukes have only just been planted. Rhubarb is up and won't be long till harvest. Apple and pear trees are in full bloom!
Fae, I am a long way north of you, so am in awe of your garden! You are so right about bought or restuarant lettuce, it does not taste anything like lettuce that is freshly picked.

My tallest peas are only about an inch above the soil. But at least they've sprouted. There for a while I thought they were probably going to end up rotting in the ground. I can't wait for that first pod of peas of the season.

I was looking at it a little while ago while I was taking Hydrangea cuttings. The Egyptian onions are well over 2 feet tall and are just forming their topsets! The Wormwood tea plants that took such a beating in the storms are growing daily into a pretty bush like grouping. All kinds of flowers are blooming including the Rhodies, one early one that is light pink. The ground covers are blooming white and purples with daffodils and taller flowers above. The plum tree is already done blooming, the Elephant and Purple Striped garlic is going nuts and the Comfrey is getting so big and leafy! The herbs are up and the other teas. I need to put in more beds... The currant bushes are massive this year!

More pea flowers! These are outdoors. Yea! I have lettuce I am harvesting of course. And I have some baby tomatos and tomato flowers too in the green/hoophouses. (I have one of each). Progress. =0)
