Blueberry and stawberry plants seen on tv

Has anyone tried those large blueberry plants they advertise on tv. Forget what they are called but claim to give you quarts and quarts of blueberries? If so did the plants work for you?

If not, where can I get strawberry and blueberry plants and can I grow them in a container?? I live up here in the cold and would really like to freeze some fruit this year!

Did a search and found the blueberry tv ad I was talking about.

Nvm..about the "had you tried them"..looked for reviews on them once I got on the computer. Sounds like a scam.

My other question stands..where is the best place to get blueberry and strawberry plants?

I never buy anything from telemarketers. It only encourages them. Sorta like feeding stray cats.

In The Dakotas, you want Highbush blueberries or Half High blueberries. Any variety of blueberry will give you quarts and quarts of berries.

There are many mail order nurseries that sell blueberries and strawberries. Check on the garden watchdog before you order from any mail order nursery.

For cold climates, I recommend Jersey, Patriot, Bluecrop, Blueray,

For strawberries: Shuksan, Tristar, Benton, Hood, Totem, and Seascape. Seascape is my favorite.

Grapes: Einsett, Glenora, Jupiter, Lakemont, Canadice.
