Pepper ID question

I'm hoping someone can identify a pepper variety for me or recommend something similar. It's served in a local Italian restaurant in their salad. It's placed whole, and it's not much bigger than a jalapeno. It's a pale green. It has a little bit of heat and a lot of flavor.

Pepperoncini? Or however it's spelled? Costly little buggers to buy pickled in a glass jar at the store, but extremely cheap to grow and pickle yourself.

Yes, pepperoncini. There are golden types (Greek) and green types (Italian). And they do pickle well.

Well, the pepper in question wasn't pickled, but it does look similar to the pics I'm finding of the pepperoncini. I'll see if I can find some plants locally and try them out. Thanks!
