Drip Irrigation questions

I have been looking at Farmtek's growers supply at drip irrigation systems and reading
http://www.irrigationtutorials.com/
to learn just what I need in this high tunnel and in the garden when we can afford to put a system in for the whole garden.

When drip tape says it has a .4/gph/100 feet, does that mean that over the 100 foot section it is watering at .4 ghp or is that .4 gph at each of the emitters? (.4/ each would be about 40 gal per hour on 100 foot row.)

Is there a table or guide for what different garden crops need in water amounts per plant? I don't want to drown the plants but, I don't want to be shutting the system off if the plants aren't getting enough water either.

Does anyone recommend another place rather than Farmtek for the drip irrigation supplies?

Something I didn't see in the farmtek materials is anything discussing just how much pressure is needed with these tapes. What is the optimum pressure to run a drip irrigation system at?

Also I see that the irrigation tutorials .com says I should be using a backflow preventer yet, I haven't seen that listed in Farmtek. What type ,if any, should I be looking at? Where can you get them?

What about filter and regulator? What type of each?

Some of these questions probably need more info to answer properly. We do not know if this will be just a gravity system this year for inside the High Tunnel or a pressurized system off a well. We are looking into well pricing today and trying to determine the best way to proceed (alot of that depends on cost as we are putting in the high tunnel and a few other things this year.) But, any direction and guidance is most appreciated.

We got our drip irrigation supplies from Dripworks -- they have a website. They worked with us to figure out the best configuration for what we are growing, and answered ALL our questions. I'd highly recommend them.

Ditto on DripWorks!!! They drew a plan for my garden and emailed it to me. Then I knew exactly what I needed to order.
