I got my hot frame fired up

I've never tried one before. We'll see how it goes. What has been your experience with them?

Thanks,

Cindyc.

Tell us more about what this is. Is it the same as a cold frame?

From wikipedia:
In agriculture and gardening, a cold frame is a transparent-roofed enclosure, built low to the ground, used to protect plants from cold weather. The transparent top admits sunlight and prevents heat escape via convection that would otherwise occur, particularly at night. Essentially, a cold frame functions as a miniature greenhouse season extension device.

Are you talking about hot frames using electricity? or the old-style hot frames using manure as a heat source?

I used manure. Here is an article on it for those who are interested. http://www.backwoodshome.com/articles2/martin104.html

Well, I don't know exactly how much warmer it's supposed to be in there than it is outside, but it is warmer in there for sure. That's a good sign. :-)

I'll keep you posted. :-)
