Container sweet potato plants

I planted some of those sweet potato vines that are for decorative containers this year and it appears the vines are actually making sweet potatoes. These are not necessarily ornamental sweet potatoes, I don't think, although the leaves are a lighter green than the plants we have grown in our garden previously. My question is, will these sweet potato tubers be edible?

Yes , they will be edible, but, keep in mind they are intended for ornamental purposes and not necessarily for taste. Some might be ok and some downright not so tasty.
