Mosquito Control

I use a lot of water barrels in my garden, and I always battle mosquitos. I keep the barrels covered either with the lids that came with them or material sewn to fit over the tops. I try to keep mosquito dunks in the barrels that are not covered, but as I said it is still a battle.

What is the most safe and effective methods you all have used besides the time tested swat method.

Question

if the water is just for garden use, try a couple of goldfish in the barrels. They will eat the larva and also fertilize the water. just a thought...
