You would do well to buy a good book on fruit-tree growing. Different trees need somewhat different pruning plans and schedules. Try Cornell Co-op Extension if you have that where you are. Our local one has an ag specialist on staff who can help with pruning and spraying ideas. Or check for a fruit-growers association. They sometimes give training days. I use Round-up under my trees. It lets the air, water and nutrients go to the trees, not the weeds, and helps keep insect, rodent and rabbit pests under some control. Sue
