Most snap beans have about the same tolerance for heat but many gardeners grow them just for one big flush of pods. After they are picked, the plants are often neglected since there's no more production. However, if fertilized and watered good, they'll take of again when cool nights return. Friend today was picking green Masai and yellow Rocdor. 100' away, my Pencil Pod Wax were dead and gone long ago. For pole snap types, only Purple Pod is still producing but pods aren't nearly as tasty as they were in June.
