Pine trees?

I have a friend who is offering me several small - 1 1/2' - 2' - pine trees. I was wondering if anyone knew the best time of year to transplant them.

Thanks

Brett

I always liked Fall, cooler temps. and they should get enough moisture. But I have been known to water trees in Winter.

you can plant them now as long as you don't leave them dry out. pines are never really dormant.

Interesting, I never thought about the fact that pines are never dormant. But, I think waiting for the cooler temps, fewer watering needs, makes a lot of sense.

Thanks alot,

Brett
