weather woes

Well I guess our five years drought is officially over. We have had almost five inches of rain the past two weeks. We got almost three inches between yesterday and today and it is still raining.. my garden is under water. I worked so hard on it and planted out so many peppers of every kind and now it is all for nothing. I think that next year I am definitely going to do raised beds. At least that would prevent this kind of destruction. Just venting..

The part in the back is where all of my peppers were and carrots, daikon radishes... sigh.

We could use a little rain here and a lot of warmth. Yesterday's high was 64. It's still only 60 this morning.

It seems it is either feast or famine here....It is supposed to be in the high 80's this weekend with thunderstorms... so more rain. Maybe I should have planted rice!

So sorry about your garden! If only some of that rain would head here to Tennessee! You're in the "feast" and we're in the "famine".

Since the hail storm we have had a nice thunder shower every day for the last three days. It is getting back to the humid south and seeming less like the dry hot desert.Oh and I might actually have to cut the grass for the 3rd time this year.
Sorry about your garden! I know it is frustrating but hey the way the weather is this year it might be dry for the next month and recover.

Sorry about your garden. I know how much work it is. We finally got a rain 2 nights ago and now the weeds are growing like crazy. At least you don't have that chore right now.

Real sorry about your garden. It's frustrating trying to garden in too much rain or drought. It seems like the weather is so extreme anymore. Hoping your new pepper plants do well. Take care.
