Workboxes

Do any of y'all employ this strategy in your homeschools? I'm thinking of doing a modified version of this this year. Just wondering if anyone has tried these and if you had any feedback or advice. Thanks!

I have older kids (13 and 11) so I use work files instead of boxes now. Have you checked out Sue Patrick's workbox system?

Sue Patrick's Workbox System

My oldest boy loved it! He told me it was like opening a different present every time he started the next "box" which were actually plastic drawers in a rolling cart.

Now I do work files. Not nearly as much fun but it keeps everybody organized and I don't have to wonder if we got everything done.

We too use files & each girl has there own basket to hold their school stuff. The books they share stay on the family bookshelf & they can only use them at the table (no chance of loosing the book in their bedroom). Then I have a grading basket where they leave their school work. I give my girls a wks worth of work at a time. They seem to prefer to work 1 subject at a time. Once they finish the wks work on that subject they usually move on. Math is the one subject they always do daily.
