Question Drank milk coffee - went pot 8 times today - Colitis IBS

I don't know if I got an intestinal flu that kicked in or what, but MAN my rear wasn't feeling too well.

I have colitis-IBS and I guess the caffeine and coffee hurt my stomach. I got insane cramps, had to lay covered in a blanket and a heating pad.

How do you deal herbally with a colitis-IBS outbreak?

Thanks!

By the way, I can't digest fiber so that's out lol.

Have you tried taking any probiotics? I have heard that they help with IBS but I don't really have any first hand experience with taking it.

I have had Colitis-IBD for 30 years, and was in misery until I started taking Imuran 5 years ago. Had taken 60mg of Prednisone every day forever and was on the verge of a radical colostomy when I started the Imuran.
Talk to you Dr. Imuran ain't herbal, but IMHO it is a true miracle drug. Have had only a few very minor flare ups since I started it.

My experience is with a different malady, but cutting WHEAT out of my diet has reduced/eliminated digestive problems from my life.
The only thing i miss is pizza but the wheat and cheese together are like poison to my digestion- i do love the taste tho....

I take Dr. Ohira's Probiotics for my UC, and they work WONDERS!! You can purchase them for a reasonable price on iHerb.com - I get them for almost $20 cheaper than our local health food store!
