Reel mowers

I have come across an article in motherearthnews.com where some one built a 3 gang reel mower to pull behind a garden tractor. I would also like to do this and there is a diagram in the article but it is to small to really see it.

Would anyone have this Issue and be able to email me a better pic. or know of another web site which has this, or any other input.

March/April 1986 is the issue as per the MEN Web site.

I have Firefox 3 browser which allows zooming in on a page but the writing looses such clarity as to be illegible for it to be of benefit.

Perhaps your local library could order in the magazine via microfilm or whatever medium it comes on.

I do have to ask---have you used reel mowers? All little twigs and debris must be picked up before mowing or they will lock up the reel. Could make for slow mowing with a gang.

Any chance you can find a good used set from a golf course or public entity?
