Soap too thin, what to do?

Poured new soap a couple hours ago into lined cardboard mold, it was too big, and the soap is about 1 inch or less thick. What can I do? can I heat it again and put it into a smaller box? this is for felted soap bars-

Not a problem! Instead of the cut soap being taller, it will be shorter and more rectangular. If you want each bar to weigh more, cut the bar thicker.

You can grate and rebatch the soap, but seems like a lot of unnecessary work because this narrower size bar fits more comfortably in/on the hands.

You'll just have longer and thinner bars of soap!

No worries if your soap doesn't look like store-bought!

Since you'll be felting them, what about cutting them them longer and thinner, say 2" wide and 4.5" long, then felting them.

Or you could cut them smaller and stack 2 together to form a 'cube' and felt over that?

That is what we ended up doing, making larger bars. I guess it really does not matter- maybe we'll start something new!
