Craftsy Block of the Month class

I found out about this on another forum and decided to join since it is free. Of course, the class started in January so I'm really hustling to catch up. But I am learning so much. Each month centers on a particular method/ theme and we make two blocks. In November and December the instructor will teach how to put them together and actually quilt them.

Since it is a video class, the lessons are available anytime, and once a person has joined, he or she can view them even years from now. Even if you don't have time to follow the class now, I'd recommend for anyone who might be remotely interested to sign up. There is also a good discussion group that is printed down the side of the page for each month. I've learned a lot from just reading the comments by the other participants. It is the last class listed on their quilting page: Quilting Classes | Techniques, Projects & Inspiration on Craftsy

These are the blocks I've made so far:

They're so cute! Good job. I have to say, the Union Jack looking one is the cutest looking thing!

Thank you. I've now caught up with the rest of the class. I have no earthly idea what I am going to do with this as it is rather a "manly" quilt and I don't know any men to give it to. But I am enjoying playing around and 90% of the fabric were scraps I have on hand. The plaid is a 100% cotton king sized bed skirt I found at a thrift shop for $1.00. It was tightly gathered, so I ended up with the equivilent of 5 yards of fabric for $1.00. Can't beat that. Here a pic of where I am at this point. Have to wait to September for the next class: working with curves.
