a little project done - pic

I am a great-aunt.. twice! That makes me feel so old.

Great neice is turning one today. I made this little diddy. I think it looks awful blossomy! It's not going to be very close fitting since it's made for non stretch. But I am soooo not experienced at little people clothes. (I had a boy, only made a few costumes).

I stink at so many areas of sewing, but what can ya do but keep on gettin' at it! I don't think you can tell it from the pic, but the little tucks across the front neck are cute. Never did those before.

If I can get her in a pic of it, I'll post. Tacked the buttons for now in case they need to be moved.

That is cute, and able to be used later with t-shirts.

And with sewing, you just keep doing it and getting better.

I think you've done a nice job on that.

Hey, the fact that it is finished - rather than 50 - 75% done - is a HUGE milestone here!
Do NOT inquire how many quilts here in progress, garments cut only, knitting projects on stitch holders.. shameful. I little youngun having a scheduled party is just the kind of deadline that helps a bit.

I am glad I used all stash, except buying those snaps on tape for the crotch. Whew! that stuff is 8 bucks a yard. Sure is handy though.

She will love it as will her mom since her Auntie made it for her! It is bright colored and that is the part the little one will love and most of the time they like things that are baggy and don't fit too tight, lots of wiggle room!

Okay here's the birthday girl!

Look at her little arms at the wrist! There's a restaurant they frequent and a guy there calls her the Michelin baby.

It is a tad more like capris than shorts, but it's fine. Yay!
