Pickled pepper question

I put up some peppers yesterday, I didn't cut slits but poked holes in the peppers, today, it seems like they have taken on the juice and let out air, as the liquid level in the jars is down about 2 inches from the top rim of the jar. The question is, should I open, add more liquid and reprocess, or let them be?

you mean like the liquid all went into the holes poked in the peppers?.. as long as there is enough liquid in the jar- to cover to the top of the peppers- IMHO- I would leave them as is...
I would probably reprocess if the liquid is more than 1/2 an inch below the peppers

Becka, yes, the peppers have absorbed. The head space is almost 2 inches in the pint jars. So some peppers are exposed to the air inside the jars. Also, I plan to give these as gifts, so....
