good find at restaurant supply store

I noticed yesterday in our local restaurant supply store (Keyco ((PA))) they sell half gallon jars with a bail top and rubber ring. these are NOT for canning, but are the glass jars used in minimarkets and delis to hold beef jerkey strips for sale. This particular supply store sells the bulk jerky and candy in bulk that youo would find on the counter at the deli etc. The reason I am mentioning this here, is the jar was only 2.29 (im going back for a few more) and would be a perfect jar for refrigerator pickles or pickled eggs, or even dry storage. Its nice heavy glass, with an airtight top
might want to check your supply store next time you are in town for something similar
