Short term tomato storage

How do I keep my tomatoes until I have enough to make a decent batch of sauce? I have a bunch of Romas that are starting to go bad, but there are lots more coming. Do I just have to make small batches, or can I freeze them or something?

Thanks,
Sarah

Freeze them until you have enough to make sauce. As the tomatoes thaw, the skins will slip right off, no need to boil.

Should I take the core out before I freeze them? I typically take the core out before I boil them for skinning.

If the tomatoes are going into a sauce of some sort, I'll skin and puree them as they ripen; when there's enough for a canner load or more, I'll cook and/or process the sauce.
