What's in abundance / season??

I will be in central Michigan (west of Detroit *thank God*) from Aug 11-15th.

I thought if I could on my way home, if there is something big time in season that I could pick up on the cheap and take home and can, that would be awesome!!

First, What's in season, in central MI the first 2 weeks of Aug?
Second, What's in abundance, or getting ready to go out of season, that I might find "deals" on??

Thanks so much!!

Why *thank God* west of Detroit?
I'm in metro-Detroit and summer squash, tomatoes, cucumbers and the usuals will all be in season. Corn will probably still be, and fall raspberries should just be starting.

Since we don't know where you call "home", It's hard to say what would survive a trip, or how long it will take you to get home. Visit this site:
