I'm looking right AT it, and still drop...

a stitch.

Oh well.

You were all so welcoming I want to post an update.
I got one scarf completed and am working on a second.
The first was k4 p4.
This one is a basket weave pattern.

Today a friend loaned me a Leisure Arts pamphlet from 1999 that has a bunch of wonderful knit patterns for wash cloths.
Looking forward to starting that, but I'm trying not to get multiple projects started at one time.

There is a way to recover a dropped stitch, even after knitting many rows after it. I don't remember it, but I did it one time. I will try to google it and find it for you.

I tend to split the yarn and then I have what looks like a thin stitch sticking out. I don't fix it. I am not to the point where I can undo knitting, yet.

A good video for fixing a dropped stitch. When I watched it, I remembered how easy it was.

Steff, you are going to be a great knitter. You have the right attitude.
Once you learn how to fix your mistakes without starting completely over,
you will have it made.

Good luck and take pics of your beginning projects.

I love wash rags---great way to practice new stitches, plus I like to use them, give them as gifts. I usually have one in a bag working on because they are so easy to grab up and take with you places. One never knows when you'll be left sitting and waiting. Great "to go" project. If you make a mistake---hey, it's a wash rag! Or practice that recovery. Cotton is easy to see. It's good to have you on here---keep us updated when you have time.

Hi All.
Eating lunch after getting in from church.
It's cold and rainy here in NWPA.

Thanks for your kind words.
Humburger I will check out that link.

Marchwind, my sister's birthday is in March and I want to knit her some facecloths. I think she woud really like them. She prefers the feel of a little more texture on her skin.

Gone-a-Milkin, I don't know about 'great', but the mistakes aren't discouraging me.

Have a good day everyone.
