Tips for weaving in ends

Since we were having a little discussion about weaving in ends I thought this was timely. It came into my mail box yesterday.

http://www.knittingdaily.com/blogs/d...nd-tricks.aspx

I can get pretty anal about my weaving in of ends. I just finished a pair of sock and I used a 4 ply. I think I did the same thing with Shazza's socks. I unplied the yarn and wove in all the for single plies from all directions. I find that gives an even flat weaving in of ends. Another thing I try to do is to weave the yarn end back onto itself so it will be less likely to worm it's way out.

Talking

You have no idea how timely this post was for me. I'm trying to teach myself to knit during some down time and I finally finished my first scarf. Okay, I finished the knitted body and the ruffled crocheted edge but I just didn't know how I was going to get rid of these long tails that are left without being noticed or coming unraveled in the first wash. Thank you so much!
