They have a small raw milk dairy. I got some more pics of her, but I probably won't be getting her. Looks like a nice cow though. They have had lots of interest in her I guess, but haven't sold her yet because they decided they needed her milk for a little bit longer. I have asked them about Johnes testing and some other questions and haven't heard back yet. The milk fever makes me nervous; don't want to be out all that money if she dies. For nice jersey cows in this area $2000+ seems to be the going rate.

Yes, $2k+ is the going price. No issues there. Just the age. Wouldn't it be great if that AI'd guernsey semen produced a little lady? Ahhhhhhhhh the speculation. Just eye-balling her and reading the tea-leaves of the situation, I wouldn't let Not-tested-for-Johnnes scare me away.

If it doesn't pan out, keep shopping. Another opportunity will present herself.
