castrate or not ?

Don't knock working with organizations like the AGA. Good people. We too feed hay all winter. Hard to graze 20 inches of snow. Our customers like the fact that we care enough to adhere to standards like the AGA and AWA. Your mileage may vary.

Sorry, you misunderstood me. I'm not knocking the AGA. From what I can see, not only does my operation meet their standards completely, they seem to be a good organization.

My only point about not getting anyone's stamp of approval meant I don't feed hay only in winter and keep them on pasture all the time in order to be compliant with a standard. I do it because that is the way I want to raise my cattle. I think it is healthier for the animals and produces a superior product. My customers agree. I have no "beef" with the AGA nor with the label.
