Oh dear. The torture. Forgive me for saying i'm more than kind of hoping everything works out so that we can buy her in a few months. She's beautiful.

That is quite all right! I know I am being picky. I have had offers from a couple dairy farms but I will not let her go to a dairy. She would be lost in the crowd and used up. She is such a sweet girl and likes attention; scratches and pet and treats. I just think she would be happier with a family. So i will wait til the right one comes along...

We would love to have her!!!

We are a homeschooling/homesteading family in TN. We have been looking for a Jersey for quite a while now. We have a very small farm and have raised several calves ourselves. We do not have the cash but have 2 yearlings we would like to trade for her. They were born about a week apart from each other they came from a local dairy farm they are half Holstein/half Jersey. One beef steer and one heifer. They are around 400-450 lbs. Beautiful and very used to being around humans. We have 5 children and they are great with them. I didn't know if you would be interested in a trade or not?

I will ask my Dh about that gingersgoats. You say they are yearlings...do you know when they were born? 400-450 sounds a little small for a year old but I could be wrong. My Cows calf is half jersey, half black angus. She is seven months and huge! Still nursing too, the little piggy!

The Dh does not want to get anymore involved in raising beef than we do for ourselves. The idea of raising, selling, butchering just does not appeal to him. I am sorry but we would not be able to trade for the calves.

As a side not though...we are looking for one or two milking goats. If we could find two nice goats bred or in milk, we could trade for that with some additional cash.
