most feed is deficient in selinium. you can get injections called BoSe and you can get it added to the grain mix. makes a big difference for animals that have a hard time getting up. I give injections to cows and mares couple weeks before they give birth. colts and calves get up and moving quicker..

our dairy feed we use, which is what I've been giving her is mostly oats, barley, ddg, alfalfa pellets and corn. I've added some calf manna and boss to her grain.

g.seddon- her calf is here with us but he's a fat happy boy.

haypoint- we use bose on our dairy goats before kidding and the kids just after birth. I can definately give her some. do you know the dosage? I don't know what she weighs currently but in august when she was preggo and healthy she weighed 1050 lbs.
