If she will settle ie get pregnant her teats look ok unless you have big hands .the main thing after having milkable teats is her personality is she gentle and calm at milking you don't want to be risking getting hurt at every milking has she been trained to be tied to the manger or in a stantion for milking or in a stall .my cow gentle and calm was trained to have a chain snaped to her halter while milking no big deal but learn how you will have to fix your milk stall

I heard back from the owner. The cow has not been exposed to a bull and has been in heat on a regular basis. I may have to go look at her.
I hadn't thought about it before but I contacted one of the well known mini-jersey breeders who lives less than an hour from me. I asked him to keep me in mind if he hears about anyone having a cow that is bigger than what they are breeding for. His mini jerseys are really cute but I'm not looking for anything that close to the ground and probably very (very) expensive.
Thanks again for all the responses.

Here's the mini jersey breeder's website for anyone who wants to look at the pretty pictures!

Well see if she's sweet and milks well. That says a lot to me.

I thought about mini's at one time, but way too close to the ground, lol.

Good luck!
