Congrats! We are getting our first two bottle calves next week. Wife is wholeheartedly convinced that we must do grass fed. I'm tempted to do one of each and compare the difference. We'll see how it works.

Most of you know that there is a huge difference between grass fed, grass fed/grain finished, and feed lot fed. Feed lot livestock to me is grain fed, their ration is fed so hot that toxicity is a common problem....Topside

Topside I was wondering if anybody would bring this up .there is a lot of difference in the meat of a 700 pounder on grass then put in a feed lot than a 350 pounder put in a feed lot or a 900 pounder just on grass......

what most do not know that in dept of ag has not stated what the defintion of grass feed is.....and here grass feed is feed a mixture of grain to a certain percent of the diet and have access to some grass in a big field instead of a enclosed pen
