goodhors....that would mean your BELTIE...gained in 270 days 900 lbs or 3.33 pounds a day EVERY DAY when feed lots on full feed only average 3 pounds and your beltie was in Michigan during the winter as you stated

I think he was finished on hay, pasture and grain, not actually feed lot kept.
