Prolonged heat (hot weather, not estrus) will also reduce conception rates.

I think she just likes a bull better than a gloved hand, makes her feel "special" I think, LOL (We are one up on her now though, we bought a really pretty shorthorn cross bull calf bottle baby a few months back and he will be waiting on her when she calves again early next spring).
