Nice lookin cow Myers, second calf cow ? she looks young anyway. Green grass, I`m jealous. I still have some snow, but I feel it in my bones, nice weather is just around the corner. I think they will be planting corn in April this spring then it`s going to get dry all summer. Only my guess is all. > Thanks Marc

Dry all summer? That's my fear (or my guess) too.

[[[.....It is like standing around the feedstore, only w/o having to pay the tab....]]]

Please keep me out of the feedstore. I went in today to buy a brooder lamp for the ducks and it cost me over $100.

I went in there today too. Meat Maker poultry crumbles, $26/100#, 21% protein.

Looked at the Frontline for my dogs...OUCH! Fifty bucks for 3 doses. <gulp>

Yes, calves are UP! Farmer Boss said he saw a load of blacks go for 1.80/# last week.

Oh, I hope we get some good fodder grown this year. Please.

Fats were $1.15 and thats usually a 1200 pounder thats $1380...seems like it will be pouring feed into a rat hole to me.....but the big guys only want to make $50 a calf...

I am thinking of raise the beef calfs next year buying off the B/M cows at any age I can
