Out here, too.
Cattle are up right now. Take advantage of it!

We have a buddy that just sold all of his bred cows with plans to buy replacements next year when/if the market drops.

Cattle prices are up here, too.
Neighbor sold several heifers this week for around $1.30/ pound at the local auction barn.

You might do better selling them if you just mention they are bred, and if you only mention the Dexter part if people ask. Not saying you should be dishonest at all, just that the mention of Dexter might throw off people who only know Angus and Brangus type cattle.

Around here, very few of the cattle going through the sale are registered. Lots of very nice Angus-type cattle, but not too many folks care about "registration".

Just saw a post on the local board here - Angus bred heiffers 750 and cows 850... Do you have a listing your area you can check? Or an auction that is near by? Price is a very local thing.

Don't base your price on the classifieds, though!
Price cattle on what they're selling at at the local salebarn. That's what sets the market.
