Deal just got better I think!!!! I reposted an ad for a horse I have had for sale for a LONG time. Dropped his price to just find him a new home NOW! But still above meat price. It would sure be nice to have a little extra cash to make sure I can cover the cows, plus one less animal eating on my hay. Person with the cows saw the ad and emailed me to see if it was my horse. Then they asked about doing a trade!! You bet your boots I would trade!!! The obviously want to try him out first, but I have been very upfront about his lack of full training so there wont be any surprises. The horse is a bit less than the full amount on the cows so obviously I will put in some cash if this works out. Its not a straight across trade. But close enough! Then I can tell my fiance that is still in the dark that I traded the horse for the cows and he will be more than fine with it! lol! He dislikes horses but really likes cows.

Never in my wildest dreams did I ever think i could trade a horse for some cows. Although I did try it lots over the last year! lol!

for the calf in back of truck if the weather is not bad....4 pallets from work make a great pen.....and if you use three racket straps they make a instant pen right up against the cab of truck to block the wind

That heifer calf looks to be from a Brown Swiss Sire... Is that the case? I have a 2 month old brown swiss bull. He's a big teddy for the moment at least.

Well, sounds like she can't get her lights working properly, but she is just going to bring the trailer anyway. So I am taking an extended lunch hour at work so we can get this done at noon and she can get home before dark. It's all highway and no turns, so its not a big deal at all. I think she is going to take the horse. We are already discussing payment and how we are going to unload the cows and reload the horse.

geez I hope this works!

Baby is supposed to be 3/4 dexter. So that would mean that momma was bred to a dexter bull. She must get her eyes from the 1/4 jersey part.

Wednesday after work I will be on here. Hopefully I remember to take my blasted camera to work. I am going with her out to the corrals straight from work (I don't live where I keep my animals).

So they are not coming home tomorrow. I just got off the phone after talking to her for an hour. Her husband rolled their truck yesterday! Like for real. She is borrowing a car or something to come up tomorrow and still wants to look at the horse and put a deposit on him if she wants him, but I don't think anything else is going to happen until insurance gives them a new truck. But the cows ARE mine. Everything is fine. I feel like I have a new best friend after talking to her for an hour. She is a pretty cool lady.

She came out anyway to see the horse and she LOVED him. We verbally agreed to do the trade and no money exchanges hands till my cows come home and she picks up her horse. So I am sure it will all work out, and if it doesn't, well...I still have all my money AND my horse. No biggy.

Guess what I did??? lol! She picked me up at my work on my lunch break to go out and see the horse since my work was right on the highway. I totally grabbed my keys to get my boots out of my car and I left them in her car!!! She drove over two hours away before I noticed. It was a borrowed vehicle so she couldn't just turn around. And she has my ONLY car key, my only house key, my ONLY key to get into the bank to clean it! I am going to pass out! Her hubby works where my fiance lives so I think they got dropped off at his house already...but he works until midnight and he is still 1.5 hours away. I really don't think he can bring them home tomorrow. So I have no way to lock my house (I had to break in), no way to get to work, and no way to get INTO my other work. I am so pro at screwing up! lol!

I do hope this works for you, but Ive been busting scammers for years so please make sure you have cows in hand before sending any money because this sounds like so many things I have heard before and they can be quite cunning to get their hands on some money.
Do you not have a friend who could help haul the cows?
