No mastitis . Milk tastes wonderful !

Did several udder exams , haven't found anything unusual.

We filter it right after milking ,so it's still warm . It doesn't clog the filter . We have one of those medal funnel things with the disposable filter that goes in it .

It's good to hear Marc that it's normal for cows to do what she's doing as far as less milk production in the front quarters .

Anyways ,thank you all for your help , great group here !

Cows almost always tend to give more from their back quarters than their front. This time of year cows that calved in spring may be cutting back on production due to lower-quality graze, weather, etc. It will be more noticable in the front quarters, but she certainly shouldn't go dry in any quarters.

Yeah she started to produce less in the front left quarter , and now I can't squeeze a drop out of it ! The front right I only get like a cup . I'm still getting one and a half ,almost one and a third gallons from the back . Not sure what is up with her ?

But I do recall her past owners (we bought her last February) saying they dried her up in December because it was too cold to milk ...... Makes me think maybe she dried herself up and they told a fib ? I don't know .....

Okay, not to sound like a cranky person, but I have goats, and getting cream from their milk is why I have a cream separator, that I can't use right now because we're not getting enough milk to justify setting the whole thing up, so...

WHAT'S YOUR POINT??

LOL!!!

Srsly, I will come over and relieve you of some of that wonderfully creamy milk.

Have you considered making some cheese?

LOL!

Well, looks like she's balancing out a bit now.

But I have to admit, I'm a cream-a-holic. When I was a little kid, we had milk delivered by a milkman. There were glass bottles with little cardboard "corks" - little cardboard covers that I removed and licked before anyone caught me.

How did I get there first? By volunteering to bring in the milk.

Every day.
