good hay ruins a cow?

Dh's trip to Italy has been postponed until January and he is going to take every Friday off this month. Maybe that will help get somethings done - now that it's snowing!

I am going to ask these people if they have any other kind of hay. They owe me for the small bales still. I kept the calves inside yesterday out of the rain. This morning they have their heads in the feeder eating away at the hay. They do eat it - it isn't their first choice though. It isn't enough for me to just find them something they will eat. I want them to grow and stay healthy.
