I raise butcher beef and use three different local processors. for the cost of processing , usually between 38 and 45 cents a pound there is no reason to attempt this mess on your own. Grand total to process a whole beef , approx 500 lbs delivered , is around 300 bucks.

You can get your beef custom cut , packaged and frozen safely and be ready to go with beef that will last in your freezer for easily over a year. i don't know what your labor is worth but it's a lt cheaper for me to be out working and let someone else deal with the mess.
