i feed grain about a bag a week all one time whole bag from about 5 months till butcher

when we had the farm we gave them grain from birth-4 months (usually they started eatting it around a month and at 2 months it was just hay and grain till 4 months then they were moved from the calf area to a feeder lot) once on the feeder lot they got hay bales (round bales) and feed only that and silage every other day about 1000lbs of silage or more and we put new bales in about the same every other day so it was like feed silage no bale and the next day bale no silage and if the bale was still alot left we would skip that day

they all were big and ready to eat around a year old
