I talked to farmer last night. He is fine with me cutting off what I want. I would like to get ribs and back so they have ingestible bone, then the quarters. I will probably not take the inards if it smells bad when I cut it open. Thanks GM...guess it will be beef for the dogs for the next months and half. Maybe I can fork away that money I would have spent on food for the next 6 weeks into the electric fence fund. Wow...just calculated that....if I don't have to buy any dog food for the next 6 weeks that is about $450 in savings!
Honorine, not planning on eating any of it myself. Thanks Ozark...that makes me feel better about feeding the hide too.
I go get it next saturday afternoon hopefully. He said he expects to be back by 3....hope it doesn;t take more than a few hours to do this.
