We make the cheese, age it for the required 60 days, cut it, package it and ship it all from the farm.
Its going to be an adventure but as I said we've been milking these girls for a year so we are easing into the whole thing. Best of all......I never run out of cheese to eat!
that whole thing is pretty darn cool!

Here's hoping the rest will be easier. Have you gotten any heifers from your gals yet? You are certainly to be admired. I would be scared silly. Thank goodness I have a dairyman right next door!

Well, what we are doing is done everyday by dairy farmers everywhere. We are a very small dairy by most standards, though an average one for this area. So thanks so much for the comments but don't make heros out of us.
It is a big step for us and right now its driving me a bit batty.....but it will get easier one of these days! Getting on here and blabbing at you guys helps ease the stress....so don't mind me.
Oh yes, and we had a bull and a heifer born yesterday with no problems whatsoever!!
