It does sound like clostidium or maybe salmanilla. Both can causeblood in the scours. I would take them all off milk and onto an electrolyte for three feedings.. That you can get at the feed store. You will probably have to find a vet for the cd antitoxin or the ditrim. Both are non perscription here in wisconsin, but ive never seen them in the feed store. Definetly get an electrolyte into them and watch for dehydration.Hope this helps.

Our TSC stores here in NC carry the CD&T, but not sure about where you are. It woudn't hurt to ask though if they have it.

Sounds like the "too much MR" scours. I've found water and electrolytes very positive treatment for this kind. If you start medicating with antibiotic too fast, you'll kill all the good bacteria their stomach has. If something doesn't show interest in eating, just tube feed it the 3 pints of electrolytes for about three feedings and start slowly introducing MR back into their diets. They ought to be fine.
If you continue to see blood in their stools, you could medicate with a drug called "corid". If the blood's in very small traces, it could be from a "raw" hind end from scouring.

I was told blood in the fecal is not that bad compared to if you see it in a goat. It helps to feed maybe only to pints- 3 times a day. I also give electrolites- in between.
They do fine on less milk and less problems I find- also milkwould be so much better. Is your replacer milk base? which is much better then soy-

I am sad we lost one last night. The other is doing very good. Thank you everyone for the help. I am upset that the guy I bought them from didn't give me the right info..I don't think I would have lost this guy if he had.

Don't beat yourself up, although no one likes to fail. You need to devote some of your sparetime to reading and educating yourself to the art of raising bottle calves. Don't rely on the local farmer and others to educate you. Be wise and prepared for anything...You still have three calves that need your time....Knowledge is power, and can prevent failure. Re-read my above post, don't overfeed, if anything underfeed, within reason. What did the MR bag say? A Jersey is a small frame animal.....Not trying to beat you up, just motivating you to hit the internet and available books on this topic. Raising calves is not a simple...Hard to be a mother cow and doing everything right...sorry for your loss...press on

I have learned not to assume that because I give correct info when I send an animal home that someone else will. I did feed to much. I think I have the correct amount to feed now with the others so hopefully they will be fine.
Your right I have much to learn..I thought it wouldn't be that hard as I have bottled raised sheep and puppies before. big difference.
Thanks for all your info
Heather
