I spend 70 hours per week at my sharpening & power tool repair business, http://professionaltool.com/ Im on the zonning board of appeals for my township, and had a class last night for that, and I have 1400 trees Im trying to get tapped, Im trying to get my evaporator ready for syrup.
Last night at 10 pm when I milked libby to feed the calf, I wasnt particularily interested right at that moment what the sex was, LOL. I was interested in getting her milked, fed, and getting myself to bed.

4 gallons?! That's GOOD!
(Remember, folks, she is a really small cow!)
Max, I still can't get over the fact you had so many problems with her at the outset! My girls ran with the neighbor's beef herd quite a bit, and she seemed to get along really well there. (In fact, I think she preferred it to "home," as my Holsteins were all bigger than she was, and used to shove her around a bit. Louie's cattle were closer to her size, especially the young ones, so she seemed to fare better there.)
I'm glad to hear she is adjusting well to her new life as a milk cow!
Her mother was always very easy to milk; I never even had to tie Dawnna up, just give her a bucket of grain and she'd stand like a rock 'til I was done milking.
Oh, Limousins are a beef breed -- they're a red cow, hence my suspicion Louie's Limo bull is the calf's sire.
Bull or heifer???? We're not gonna quit nagging until you tell us!

she cleaned good. no milk fever. SHe is quite, friendly, and seems wonderfull so far. We put her in the stanchion at night, milk her, leave her there over night, milk her in the morning, then turn her out to the pole barn for the day.
I enjoy being around cattle, but I dont name them, or get friendly with them. I might keep the heifer, and breed her, or I might put her in the freezer. Im not sure wich. It all depends on weher I can get some hay planted on my place, and if we get any rain in the summer to get it to grow. THere is a dairy that picks up specifically jersey milk, and is paying $28/hundred. If I can get a barn built, Id like to have a dozen milk cows.
