All right Chicky!!

Heres what ya gotta do,
The grandparents are livin a different kind of farm life than you would, but they gotta know something. So ya pick their brain, get the Bad and dont repeat it, get the Good and use it.

You and your parents know enough about farmin to do your own thing, so seperate your farm from theirs. If you are going to use someone elses things its gonna come with strings, thats just the way it is, ESPECIALLY with family!!

Your Dad is going to continue to help his parents, because no matter what the parents are like, that is what a good man does. It may be frusterating, but it is also something to be proud of.

I know how you must feel, being lower on the Grandchild ladder than your cousins, my parents have always done it to my kids, ( apperently my brother got it right when he raised a drug dealer!?!?!)
But I have taught my kids that what others treat you like cannot define you!! My kids are your age and older and they treat my crazy shopaholic Mother with respect, and hug me very tightly when she leaves.!!LOL
She treats me like an idiot and I just smile and say yes Mom, because I know that my life is wonderful, and full, and my TEENS love me!! Im sure I dont need to tell you how rare that is.

You are obviously a very together gal, dont let others pull you down.
You are probably right that the way your grandparents treat you and your siblings is because of your Mother, lots of women are hard on people that they secretly feel threatened by, look around at school you know its true.
Therefore, you know its not YOU!!

You listen to old mama C now Ya hear!

You want to seperate the bull from the cows why? A break from what??
Your place is already too crowded. Find an AI tech. The savings in feed alone will pay for getting 3 cows settled. Then you don't have to worry about who ends up with the bull. As to your grandparents operation....well it takes all kinds and you haven't mentioned anything that so far that comes close to some of the conditions I've seen. If they can successfully calve a 1 yr old I can learn something from them.

A.I. is done by many vets in our area. you might try contacting one of yours.it is fairly cheap and many can do this at your place (need to find a portable chute) or at their clinic.

O.K, #1, they did NOT "calve" Valentine, they let her get pregant, they denied that she was pregnant even though I KNEW ( she had udders for goodness sakes!) go through a HARD birth, in which my dad and grandad had to help, ended up giving birth to a baby that she would not accept till WE, my brother, cousin, and I, got her to accept the baby, my grandparents said that if the baby died it died. thankfully the baby lived. By the way, they did NOT learn their lesson either, another yearling calf gave birth last week, to a stillborn monster of a bull, the bull they use is well known for them, that is the reason we waited so long before we tried to breed our girls to him. Oh yeah, the baby of the mother that gave birth at one year lod is probly pregnant now as well, she went into heat about two weeks ago and one of the little bulls got her.

I do NOT mean to offend anyone, and hope that I did not hurt ANYONES feelings, or sound rude, I just wanted to tell the truth.

#2, Thank you everyone, I have had a LOT of people say that they can not believe i am only fourteen, and it NEVER gets old, lol.

#3, my parents are dead set against AI, I have NO idea why, but I am not even going to try and argue it.

Once again, i hope that I did not hurt ANYONES feelings and i apologize if i did. Well gotta go, bye.
