How do I block ads?

There's one keeps popping up that is deeply upsetting to me right now, I don't want to see it.

I think you have to block them all, with an ad blocker add on. I know Firefox has it, but I think there may be for IE, too.

Can you search this thread or in computer forum for ad blockers?

Also, if there's an offensive ad, be sure and get the addy and let someone in Admin. know so it can be blocked from the site if it's inappropriate for HT.

For firefox or google chrome you can add adblock to your computer. On firefox there is also a NoScript addon which blocks every ad. With adblock you sometimes have to block them one by one.
I don't know how to block ads on IE.

What Karen said. People keep complaining about ads...but very few forward the information.

I know what I'm doing tonight - writing a 'how to' for grabbing ad information to forward us.

While you are doing that, would you please include information on how to capture ads and/or add-ons that lock IE?
